What is the Chatbot Widget?​

The Trialbee Chatbot Widget is an AI-powered conversational prescreener embedded on a study landing page. Instead of completing a traditional form, applicants answer screening questions through a chat. The chatbot can also answer questions about the study and, when secondary screening is required, conduct the follow-up interview.

Features​

  • Screening as a conversation: The study's self-assessment runs as a chat, one question at a time, with the right control for each question type. Applicants can edit earlier answers and review everything before submitting.
  • AI study assistant: Applicants can ask about the study, the sites and what to expect at any point. General medical questions are answered only from sources the study team approves, always with a citation.
  • AI-led secondary screening: For studies with a secondary screening form, the interview happens in the chat right after contact details, instead of waiting days for a phone call. Applicants can also choose a human call instead.
  • Nearest-site matching: During the interview the chatbot finds the closest study sites from a postal code or city and assigns one.
  • Pick up where you left off: Before contact details are given, the conversation is kept for 7 days and continues in the same browser. Once secondary screening starts, it is kept for 14 days and a resume link by email reopens it on any device.
  • Study branding:b Colours, font, welcome image and all message texts are configurable per study.
